How can the public, nonprofits and companies band together to raise the level of environmental volunteerism in Greater Mercer County?

VolunteerConnect invites you to help mark the beginning of the summer at a special forum designed to address this important question.  Join other volunteers, nonprofit executives and community leaders for a town hall style conversation featuring:

Jim Waltman, Executive Director, Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association

Linda J. Mead, Executive Director, D&R Greenway Land Trust

Barbara J. Bromley, Mercer County Horticulturist and Master Gardener Advisor

Pam Mount, Lawrence Township Councilwoman and Former Mayor

and moderated by

Adrienne Rubin, Executive Director, VolunteerConnect

VolunteerConnect, formerly known as Hands On Helpers, is convening this public town hall conversation with regional leaders to discuss the key challenges to raising the level of civic engagement and volunteerism to support environmental organizations in greater Mercer County. Our panelists will offer remarks and attendees will have the opportunity to engage in conversation with them and with other attendees. The objectives of the Town Hall are to foster greater dialogue on the meaning and value of effective volunteerism and to gain support and commitment from the community to help raise volunteerism rates in greater Mercer County.
